Map the approach
The barrel is 31.5 in across and 43 in high. The step measures 20.5 in by 20.5 in and creates an approach depth of about 52 in. Measure doorways, overhead clearance and the place where you will stand before entering.
Plan for water weight
Revive publishes 791 lb at the recommended 90 gal fill and 916 lb at the 105 gal maximum. Confirm the support surface, especially on raised floors. Add a water resistant floor covering indoors.
Circuit and clearance
Nova requires a 110V GFCI source with at least 10A and 12A recommended. Core and Apex require a dedicated 120V, 15A circuit. Preserve 24 in of clearance at the fan area and shield the chiller from direct precipitation.
Connect with intent
Inflate the barrel to 10 PSI and the cover to 7 PSI, then confirm the top inlet and bottom outlet hose direction. Check filters, O rings and valves before filling above the lower outlet. Allow 2 to 3 minutes for trapped air to purge, then complete the initial 10 to 15 minute sanitation cycle.
A SIMPLE CARE SCHEDULE
Cold plunge ownership becomes simpler when the recurring jobs are visible before purchase. These are the core checks that keep the system ready to use.
Before every session
Confirm that the step is firm, the cover is fully removed and the water is clear. Check the water level, hose connections and visible flow, then look around the barrel base and chiller for new moisture.
Every 2 to 4 weeks
Rinse the metal mesh prefilter and inspect the 20 micron cartridge for discoloration or reduced flow. Daily use generally calls for cartridge replacement about once a month.
Every 2 to 3 months
Pump water out with the chiller or use the supplied garden hose adapter. Clean the empty barrel with a soft nonabrasive cloth, then check the base seam, valves, cover straps and step before refilling.
Every 6 months
Follow the deep cleaning procedure for the selected chiller. Remove dust from the air filter and condenser area, inspect the power cable and hoses, and correct worn seals before they become leaks.

This was the perfect plunge for the space I had to work with. I had been wanting a cold plunge for a long time, filling my bath tub with ice multiple times a week and it was such a hassle. I didn’t have a lot of available space to put one though, and didn’t want one of those cheap looking pop up pods. This one looks great, is really sturdy, and is big enough for my 6’3” frame to get all the way in. Really happy with this purchase
