No. The two heating systems are used one at a time. You choose the kind of session before you start: full spectrum infrared, or traditional stove heat with water on the stones.

It is built for indoor use. It can also go outdoors under a covered structure, such as a patio roof, that protects it from the weather. It cannot sit directly in the rain and sun.

EMF is the electromagnetic field the heaters give off. Brands rate it in milligauss (mG), measured at a set distance from the panels.

Standard: more than 8 mG. Low EMF: 8 mG or less. Ultra Low EMF: about 1 to 5 mG. Near Zero EMF: under 2 mG, down to 0 mG at the seat. Each brand measures at its own distance, which is why the figure for this model includes it.

This model: Near Zero EMF, under 3 mG at 2 to 3 inches.

Far infrared is the deep, gentle heat most home saunas use. It warms your body directly rather than the air, so sessions run at 118 to 140°F.

Full spectrum adds near and mid infrared on top of far. Near infrared sits closer to the skin and is the part people look for in red light therapy. Full spectrum cabins cost more and use a mix of emitters.

Both reach the same temperatures and use the same wood and electrical setup.

Most sessions run between 118 and 132°F. The cabin tops out around 140°F and takes about 30 to 45 minutes to get there.

That is a lower number than a traditional sauna, but the effect on your body is the same: you sweat and your heart rate goes up. The difference is how it feels. Infrared warms you directly instead of heating the air, so the heat feels gentler and sessions usually last 20 to 40 minutes.

This model runs on 240V / 30A. A dedicated circuit is recommended so the sauna does not share a breaker with other appliances. Most infrared cabins plug into a standard household outlet with no hardwiring; a model listed at 240V needs a licensed electrician.

Carpet is fine on a flat, level floor. A basement works well if the ceiling clears the sauna height (65" W / 57" D / 80" H; interior 60" W / 50" D / 70" H) with a couple of inches to spare and there is an outlet nearby. A dry, ventilated garage is fine too.

Footprint: 65" W / 57" D / 80" H; interior 60" W / 50" D / 70" H. We recommend leaving 2 to 3 inches behind and on each side for air flow, plus space in front for the door to open.

It arrives in flat panels, so the boxes fit through a standard doorway. Measure the route in (doors, stairs, turns) and the spot where it will live before you order. The Dimensions tab above has the exact measurements.

It ships by LTL freight, curbside. The carrier calls you to schedule a delivery window and leaves the boxes at the curb or end of your driveway, not inside.

Plan on two people to carry the boxes in. Inspect each box for visible damage before you sign for it.

After each session, wipe the bench, backrest and interior with a soft cloth. For a deeper clean, use diluted white vinegar and water. Avoid bleach, ammonia and solvent cleaners.

Leave the door open for about 30 minutes after each session so the cabin dries out.
