Editorial standards
How these guides are made
Equipment this size is bought once. A guide is only useful if you can check it, so every one of them shows where its information came from and when it was reviewed.
Manufacturer documentation first
Specifications, dimensions, electrical requirements and operating instructions come from the owner manuals and spec sheets of the exact models shown, with the manuals linked where they are public.
Research cited, limits included
Health related statements are limited to the populations, devices and protocols of the study cited, with the reference listed at the end. Where the evidence is mixed, the guide says so.
Dated and revisable
Each guide carries the date its product details and prices were reviewed. Prices and configurations change, so the date tells you how much weight to give them.
